HazelNote is an AI-powered study workspace that helps users transform study materials into notes, flashcards, quizzes, and interactive content. The Service uses artificial intelligence to process uploaded content, including:

3. User Accounts

3.1 Creation

Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.

3.2 Security

You are responsible for your account credentials. Notify us of any breach.

3.3 Age

Must be at least 13. Users under 18 need parental/guardian consent.

4. Subscription Plans and Billing

Free Plan

Includes limited features as specified on our website. Users are strictly prohibited from creating or maintaining multiple accounts to bypass free-tier usage limits or restrictions.

Pro Plan

Provides enhanced features and increased operational limits. Subscription fees are billed in advance on a recurring basis as selected during checkout.

Strict No-Refund Policy

All purchases, including subscription fees for Pro plans, are final and non-refundable. We do not offer credits, returns, or refunds under any circumstances, including but not limited to partial use of the service or account termination.

5. AI Content and Accuracy Disclaimer

Content generated by HazelNote's AI may be inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available".

  • Independently verify all AI-generated content against authoritative sources
  • Assume full responsibility for any academic or professional consequences
  • Acknowledge that AI outputs are algorithmic suggestions, not factual statements
  • Regularly check content for technical errors or hallucinations

6. Acceptable Use and Restrictions

You agree not to misuse the Service or assist anyone else in doing so. Prohibited actions include:

Circumventing usage limits via multiple accounts
Reverse engineering AI processing logic
Uploading content without legal ownership
Automated scraping or data extraction
Distributing malware or malicious code
Engaging in any form of fraudulent activity

7. Academic Integrity

HazelNote is a study aid, not a substitute for academic effort. You are solely responsible for:

  • Strict compliance with your institution's academic honesty policies
  • Ensuring AI-assisted work is permitted by your instructors
  • Avoiding the submission of AI content as original work without proper attribution
  • Using the platform as a tool for understanding, not for academic dishonesty

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW:

  • HazelNote and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
  • Our total liability for any claim arising out of these terms shall not exceed the total amount paid by you to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
  • We expressly disclaim liability for any academic failure, disciplinary action, or loss of data resulting from the use of the Service.
  • NON-LIABILITY CLAUSE: We shall not be held liable for:
    • Service interruptions or data loss caused by third-party infrastructure failures, including hosting providers and external AI services.
    • Inaccuracies or hallucinations in AI-generated content leading to personal, professional, or financial loss.
    • User-uploaded content that infringes upon copyright, intellectual property, or privacy rights.
    • Loss of access or data due to account suspension or termination following a breach of these Terms.
    • Compromise of account security resulting from the user's failure to safeguard login credentials.

9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Pakistan. You irrevocably agree that the courts of Lahore, Pakistan shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms or their subject matter.
